Jan. 22--SAN BERNARDINO -- Virtually every city firefighter rushed to a four-alarm apartment blaze Thursday that was quickly carried through the attic by strong winds, causing $750,000 in damage.

A resident in the Dorjils Estates called 9-1-1 about 5:15 p.m. to report seeing flames coming from the roof. When firefighters arrived at the West Bradley Court town homes, they saw how rapidly the fire was spreading and sent up an alarm.
